OBHS BLACK HISTORY MONTH KICK-OFF BRUNCH
This is the 25th Annual OBHS Kick-Off Brunch since the official recognition by the Province of Ontario designating the month of February as Black History Month. This opening celebration launches Black History Month where the OBHS offers several presentations, speaking engagements and Black history exhibits. The OBHS Kick-Off Brunch hosts approximately 700 persons and has included Federal and Provincial Government Officials, Chief of Police, City Mayors, Business Executives, the Diplomatic Core and Youth.
As 2011 comes to a close, the OBHS looks forward to presenting a stellar event to kick-off Black History Month in 2012. To accomplish this we have a great line up of entertainment from the likes of Juno Award Winner Ms. Kellylee Evans, Poet Nadine Williams, the North Stars, and more…The Brunch will be hosted by CBC News anchors Mr. Dwight Drummond and Ms. Anne Marie Mediwake. The keynote address will be delivered by Educator, Politician, and Activist Ms. Zanana Akande. This 25th anniversary celebration will be held on Jan 29, 2012 at the Liberty Grand Entertaiment Complex, Grovernor’s Room, 25 British Columbia Road, Exhibition Place, Toronto, ON.
Please note earlybird ticket purchases are $75.00 per ticket, and as such 1 table of 10 tickets is $750.00. Earlybird tickets close on Dec 31, 2011.
